When you think of a small bar, you usually think of a tiny, hidden, hole in the wall, that serves great cocktails, decent wines and offers friendly bar banter. If they have craft beer, and something tasty to snack on that's a definite bonus. Well my friends, that is Honey Rider!
Located on Military Road, Neutral Bay, next to the laundromat, Honey Rider has been open for almost 2 years and has gone from strength to strength. With weekly pizza and cocktail specials, a live DJ most Sunday's, and all round good vibes - this place ticks all the boxes.
Maybe it's the delicious, hand crafted, in-house baked pizza's, the 4 x craft beer taps (with 1 x on regular rotation), the expertly mixed cocktails, or the friendly bar staff - these guys just get it!
So if you're looking for something a little more intimate than The Oak's - make the 5 minute trek down Military Rd to Honey Rider. -

This bar is awesome, though it probably has a lot to do with it brewing its own beer. Okay, some home brews are pretty bad, but in the case with this bar they were nothing short of awesome. While it wasn't all that busy when I was here, that probably had a lot to do with when I actually visited (the late afternoon), however, the atmosphere was great, and the beers were nothing short of fantastic.

First came here a couple of months ago on the way home from dinner. Unfortunately they had run out of the 'house' beer so decided we had to come back.
Now it's our usual meeting place. Great beer, great atmosphere, fantastic decor and a nice range of wine. -

Seriously cool little bar up in Neutral Bay. It has all the charm of the impossibly cool CBD small bars, but without the attitude. Great first date spot! Recommend.

This is a great local cocktail bar in Neutral Bay. It's cozy with friendly locals and bartenders. A lot of people stop in before or after getting dinner locally, although they do serve some pretty yummy pizzas for cheap. DJ's on weekend nights and bartenders that really enjoy what they are doing and spend time perfecting your drinks. Pretty good whiskey supply as well.
